COMPANY STATEMENT

MARCH 20, 2020

At Redwood Hill Farm our commitment to the health and safety of our employees, customers, and consumers is of utmost importance while we continue to monitor the latest news and information from local government and health officials regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

FOOD & EMPLOYEE SAFETY:

Our ISO-certified food safety management system, FSSC 22000, requires our business to always operate under strict food safety standards. This allows us to respond swiftly to situations that pose a heightened risk and Redwood Hill Farm has imposed the following additional safety measures:

  • No business travels.
  • Augmenting our daily cleaning procedures, ensuring social distancing in production and educating our employees on best practices recommended by the CDC.
  • Non-essential visitors are not permitted at this time.
  • Reducing the number of people present in meetings and ensuring social distancing.
  • Our safety team is closely monitoring the situation and relays news and information to employees as appropriate. Redwood Hill Farm is closely following the recommendations made by our state and federal governments.

HIGH PRODUCT DEMAND:

We are currently experiencing significantly higher than normal sales activity across all of our product lines. As you may know, food manufacturing continues operations even under California’s Shelter in Place and Stay at Home ordinances and we are committed to serving our consumers during these challenging times – production is scheduled as usual.

Our team is working tirelessly to respond to the demand and to fulfill orders. As of today, we have fulfilled all retailer orders and we are not expecting shortages in the near future. We are using our best judgment to allot the available supply among orders to serve as many consumers as we can. Moving forward, we will be transparent, keeping you informed on how our supply develops.

GOAT HEALTH:

We reached out to a trusted Veterinarian Professor and from the University of California in Davis to inquire about our goats. We learned that COVID-19 cannot be transmitted to goats and cows and that they are not affected in any way by the virus.
